Lowdown: A longtime cultural tradition in Chicago, this international
expo of modern and contemporary art attracts an elite group of collectors, curators, and guests from
around the world. Special exhibits include the works of one artist or thematic group.
There are also educational programs and lectures by noted
experts. Overall, it's an excellent chance
to see a lot of art, and the opening night preview party brings out an
ultra-stylish set for drinks, gourmet nibbles, and an exclusive first view of the
exhibition.
