4th of July Celebration
The Lowdown: The day begins in front of the National Archives; at noon, the National Independence Day Parade progresses down Constitution Avenue, with school marching bands and military units, elaborate floats and entertainers. Then it's off to the National Mall with thousands of fellow patriots to watch fireworks burst in the night sky above the Washington Monument.
