Las Vegas
LAVO (Tuesdays) Palazzo, 3325 Las Vegas Blvd. S., North Strip, 702-791-1818 lavolv.com
The Draw: Created by the owners of Tao, this restaurant-cum-nightclub opened quietly in September 2008 and has gained a following thanks to sharable Mediterranean bites, Sin City’s first hookah lounge, and the bathhouse-like nightclub. The Scene: The expansive restaurant hands out buzzers because the ambient noise is so loud that it attracts a young, pre-clubbing crowd. Upstairs at the boite-sized club, local execs rub elbows with celebs Michael Phelps and Jesse McCartney. Hot Tip: Skip the lines and ensure a VIP escort into the nightclub when you book a table for dinner at the downstairs restaurant. Remember, though, you’ll still have to pay to get in.
LAX (Wednesdays) Luxor, 3900 Las Vegas Blvd. S., South Strip, 702-262-4529 laxthenightclub.com
The Draw: With its red leather décor, oversized mirrors, and shimmering candelabras, this two-story, 26,000 square foot club has all the feeling of a bordello, one where you can get your groove on to DJ Hollywood’s beats. The Scene: Bronzed, scantily clad 20-somethings and their jock equivalents pack the dance floor at PURE, LAX’s naughty counterpart. Paris Hilton, the cast of The Hills, and the Kardashians have been known to party here. Hot Tip: Make a reservation for the sumptuous, subterranean Noir Bar for back-door access to LAX and one of the city’s hottest after-hours scenes. Known for its exclusivity and no-camera policy, this late nightspot is a magnet for celebs looking to escape the paparazzi.
XS (Mondays) Encore, 3131 Las Vegas Blvd. S., North Strip, 702-770-0097 xslasvegas.com
The Draw: This stunning, 40,000 square foot indoor-outdoor nightclub was inspired by St. Tropez’ Club 55, though the stripper poles and silicone babes give it a vibe that’s all Vegas. Right now, this is the hottest club in Sin City, period—worth walking by just to scope out the parade of beautiful people waiting to get in. The Scene: The crowd here is classier than at most clubs, with plenty of gents in suits and women in Louboutins. But you don’t need to go all out to get in—just be prepared to wait it out in line. Hot Tip: To get inside, it never hurts to arrive early and invite a few of your attractive girlfriends along. In the summer months, book a table or a cabana outside, something overlooking the pool and blackjack tables.
