Miami

Love Life Sundays at the Standard
The Standard, 40 Island Ave., South Beach, 305-673-1717
standardhotel.com

The Draw: You’re so over the bar scene. You prefer ashtanga over Ashanti, hydrotherapy over hip-hop, sauna over a stripper pole. Hang out at this lazy Sunday all-day pool party hosted by Poplife and The Standard.
The Scene: Even if you’re not staying at this hip hotel, you can go to Love Life Sundays. Lounge by the pool, sip cocktails and organic snacks at the waterfront bar, listen to music from top DJs, make new friends.
Hot Tip: Stick around—at 8:30 every night, it’s bingo time! And it’s the coolest bingo game in town, with hip callers, risqué humor, and an eclectic crowd that packs the lobby. Lucky players win prizes ranging from free cocktails to spa treatments to hotel stays. And when there’s a tie? Dance-off!

South Miami Avenue/Mary Brickell Village
900 South Miami Ave., Downtown
marybrickellvillage.com

The Draw: What was once an oasis in an under-construction neighborhood has blossomed into a street of dreams, now that many of the new condos have filled up with young professionals. A string of hot venues, each offering something different, are all within walking distance of each other.
The Scene: At Mary Brickell Village, chains Rosa Mexicano and Blu Martini have buzzing bar scenes, while patrons at local favorites Blu Pizza e Cucina and Abokado spill onto the patio. Across the street, convivial Perricone’s is quieter amid the oaks. Nearby, hit Transit Lounge for board games and karaoke and Tobacco Road for blues and rock. Craving a more South Beach, Euro-chic crowd? Head south a few blocks to Segafredo Brickell and Badrutt’s Place.
Hot Tip:
Metered on-street parking fills up quickly. Try the public garage behind Mary Brickell Village or take the Metromover to the Brickell Station stop.

Wynwood Gallery Walk
NW Sixth Ave. to NE Second Ave. and NW 20thSt.  to 36th St.,
Wynwood Art District
themapmag.com/wynwood

The Draw: Hipsters, artistes, connoisseurs, elitists, intellectuals, high rollers, and lowlifes converge on this urban ’hood for heated critiques of the works of emerging artists and free booze.
The Scene: This may be the hippest of Miami’s many cultural walks. Highlights include the Fredric Snitzer Gallery (2247 NW 1st Pl.), the David Castillo Gallery (2234 NW 2nd Ave.), and the Bakehouse Art Complex (561 NW 32 St.) Want to continue a conversation over dinner? Check out the brand-new Joey’s for contemporary Italian cuisine (joeyswynwood.com). Or head a few blocks north to the Design District, to Michael’s, Brosia, Pacific Time, Fratelli Lyon, or Sheba.
Hot Tip: The evening often runs well past midnight. Look for flyers and free dinner tickets for the after-party—Bombay Sapphire is a sponsor.
