The
Lowdown: Popularly known as Jazz Fest, this musical
extravaganza features giant stages and internationally renowned entertainers (performing a wide range of popular musical genres, including jazz) in a packed schedule for two weekends of nonstop music. Between sets, festivalgoers crowd food booths to savor sample-sized plates of some of the
city's best-loved recipes — ranging from Cajun to Creole to Latin to North African (all edibles are hand-picked beforehand by the Fest organizers).
When: Last weekend in April and first weekend in May; $30-$40 per festival day, Big Chief VIP Experience Tickets available for $500, or $600 with reserved parking.
